Overview
MediWest Care are recruiting a passionate, engaging and caring Activities Coordinator to join a leading Private Nursing Home in Ballyhaunis.
Our client is dedicated to providing exceptional care for the elderly and your role is to provide meaningful activities and stimulation to all residents within the Nursing Home.
You will develop and implement a stimulating person-centred activities program providing both group and individual activities that focus on the recreational and leisure needs of the residents and promotes the enjoyment and fulfilment needs of the individual.
Shift times are 10.30am – 16.30pm (4/5 shifts per week – Monday to Sunday)
Requirements
- Previous experience working as an activity assistant or activity coordinator is an advantage, but we will consider the other candidates if they show strong interest in this role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Creative and confident approach
- Good computer skills
- An intuitive knowledge of the interests and needs of older people
- Be comfortable working on your own and as part of the team
- Take directions from the multidisciplinary team
- A commitment to undertake further trainings as required
